GDPR … Finally today is the day you’ve all been waiting for…
Happy General Data Protection Regulation dayGDPR day for short.
Today, 25th May 2018, is the day the European General Data Protection Regulation comes into force.

Your inbox has probably been inundated with all those emails asking you to opt-in to receive those marketing newsletters you’d forgotten all about.
This has been one of the best ways of unsubscribing from the noise that has built up over time in our inboxes, but is everyone really prepared? What impact will this have on all those companies both large and small? Those in your thoughts like GAFA¹ and those that have been busy aggregating your data in the background.

¹ GAFA is an acronym for Google Apple Facebook Amazon.

Starting out in 1988, I was first introduced to Blur through a friend at school, with a copy of their first album Leisure in late 1991, and learning that “There’s No Other Way”.
